The month at the doctor
This has been one crazy month. So much has happened and I haven't blogged once! The week of Father's Day Connor started wheezing a lot. We went to the doctor and she diagnosed Connor with acid reflux (which we thought he had already). She gave him prevacid and a nebulizer to help his lungs and scheduled a follow up visit. By our next visit Connor's wheezing had gotten much worse and he had retractive breathing, a very scary thing to see in an infant. We continued the nebulizer and added a steroid. Then a follow up (we were going almost every other day). The steroid never seemed to help and the wheezing worsened and added a cough. He was tested for the swine flu and phenomena, both negative. The wheezing and retractive breathing continued. A week later he developed a high fever and tested positive for swine flu. Connor didn't react well to the Tamiflu medicine. Poor baby. When the swine flu started to go away he developed bronchiolotis. As of today he is on a new steroid inhaler and it has controlled the wheezing. Thank goodness. Kate got the flu too. She had a high fever for a couple days and then it went away. I am so thankful for wonderful doctors and medicine that can help us. It was so hard to see our little boy so sick for so long but I can't imagine what it would be like feeling so helpless without the miracles of modern medicine! I am a very thankful mommy! We took a fun, quick trip to Palmyra this week. After I download my pictures I'll add some posts.

April, no fun, let alone with a baby. I hope he stays well and can regain his strength soon.
